My career pre-Kid Magazine was in banking. While I met some awesome people, it wasn’t work that fuelled my creative brain. And then I entered the world of kids fashion and lifestyle and I found my people. Each year when I head along to Kids Instyle, I love connecting with the beautiful souls behind the industry. So many treasures to be found!

Women like Kate and Kate from Play Pouch. These ladies are so fun and positive, full of energy for their product. And why wouldn’t they be? It’s fabulous! They are also launching a new waterproof Play Pouch along with a collaboration with swimwear label, Escargot.

Stacey and Lorraine from Minnow are also launching an Escargot collaboration. These beach booties are lifesavers. My daughter wore them all weekend at the beach and I was stoked to hear that will are venturing into a larger size for next summer!

It was also lovely to catch up with Prudie from Goose & Dust. How funky are her hats and sunnies? Summer must haves! The sunnies are so hard wearing and I just can’t get over how cool the hats are.

Ena Makes was a new find for me. Therese has created a range of super fun and bright DIY necklace kits. What little girl doesn’t love making her own jewellery?!

Samantha from Hobbe was actually my first stop in the morning and what a delightful way to start the day. The new Hobbe rocking chair in collaboration with Incy Interiors is absolutely divine (as is the rest of the range!).

Continuing the gorgeous neutral tones was June, another new discovery for me. Designer Verene, has created a French-inspired range in natural and light fabrics, perfect for the Australian climate.

From Belgium with Love is another European brand, with founder Isabelle importing beautiful and practical baby products from Europe. Would you look at that baby snuggle wrap (bottom right)?

Closer to home with a product designed and manufactured in Melbourne, Subo is a food bottle that works in much the same way as squeezy pouches but there is no mess! What I love most is that every piece comes apart so that it can easily be washed.

La Luna Rose is a women’s jewellery line that has now ventured into the kids market due to popular demand. Sterling silver, hand beaded pieces make up this beautiful range designed by the lovely Rosie.

Lyn’s Label is a brand with a little history. Founded by Lyn in 1982, the brand was relaunched almost 30 years later with the help of Lyn’s daughter, Marnie. The products are organic, using bamboo fabrics and all practical for growing families.

It was so lovely to meet Alison from Clocksicle, a new product in the market. Launching in November last year, Clocksicle is designed to help kids learn how to tell the time. It doesn’t have an annoying tic-toc so if perfect for kids bedrooms. Love!

And finally, when I walked past Seedling and saw this new range I was like, “take all my money!” I think these will be VERY popular in our house.

All of these amazing brands are exhibiting at Kids Instyle Sydney 2017, Australia’s dedicated trade event for designer kids and baby brands. Kids Instyle will run from 16-19 February at The Royal Hall of Industries and Hordern Pavilion. Register and find more details at the Kids Instyle website. Trade only.
