I love baby showers. I mean, what’s not to love. It is a chance to celebrate with a mum-to-be before she welcomes her new little baby into the world. I had a ball at my own baby shower. To know that all my guests were there to shower me and my unborn baby with so much love was amazing.
One thing I love nearly as much as a baby shower is a colour theme. My own shower had a pink and green theme to match the nursery decor I had chosen. I’m not a fan of the traditional baby pink and blue used to welcome new arrivals. I love colour and breaking the rules! I enjoy playing with colour and came up with three baby shower colour themes that will work whether you are having a boy, girl or keeping it a surprise.
This theme is soft, pretty and feminine. Keep it simple with pom poms or lanterns in the three hues and vases filled with bunches of gorgeous fresh flowers.
Have fun with these colours and add in patterns such as stripes, polka dots or chevron. Mix up block colours and patterns with pinwheels, garlands or bunting as decoration.
Pick up some gold sequin fabric and mint and mauve cake stands to create a stunning dessert table. A few gold balloons with mint and mauve tassels would add the final sparkly touch.
Do you love a colourful baby shower? What are your favourite colour theme combinations?
