I once heard Carolyn Cresswell from Carman’s speak about how she built her business to be so successful. She shared that one of her secrets to balancing it all was to keep her car, inbox and handbag clean and organised. It totally made sense to me. As a working mum, these are three things that can really make a difference to how organised you are.

I have always struggled with the handbag one. A few days after cleaning out my handbag I end up right back where I started with a bag full of, well, stuff. Things just got worse when I became a mum as added to the pens, tissues, tip balm etc was spare clothes, nappies, toys and other mum stuff.

If you are like me and cart your whole world with you wherever you go (I’m talking iPhone, iPad, Bluetooth keyboard, DSLR camera) then I suggest you look into a JJ Cole nappy bag. I have been lucky enough to have do a JJ Cole Satchel review. I have been using the JJ Cole Satchel in Stone Arbor (RRP $120).

What is there to love?

Often the compartments in handbags are really small and so difficult to find anything. The satchel has four internal compartments that are really large with a loose elastic at the top so you can easily find whatever little secrets you store in them. There are four open compartments on the outside which I use for pens and tissues, anything not valuable really as well as a small compartment on either end of the handbag for bottles. There are two small zipper pockets at the front of the bag which are the perfect size for storing business cards.

Every JJ Cole nappy bag comes with a fab little changing mat that matches the lining of the bag. It is really lightweight and so so handy. I don’t always use it as I love my JJ Cole Changing Clutch but I find it super useful for keeping in my bag for a quick trip to the shops when I’m not taking a whole bag of nappies.

I love, love, love the grips stroller attachments that come with the bag. They tie onto your pram and you can then clip your bag on. As I mentioned above, I carry a lot of stuff around with me everyday for working on the go so it is such a relief to not have to carry my bag over my shoulder. Also handy for those times when Olivia is over being in the pram and I end up carrying her and pushing the pram around the shops.

Aesthetically it is also a really nice looking bag and the fabric is durable. I’m notorious for dirtying my handbags but haven’t yet left a mark on this one. Woo hoo!

And as for what’s not to love, I couldn’t find anything. I never write about anything I don’t genuinely love but will always point out any minor flaws I find. I honestly couldn’t find anything about the JJ Cole Satchel that I could point out. It works for me. I am messy and it helps keep me organised. I like how the pattern goes with pretty much everything I wear and I love how I can throw the bag around and not worry about damaging the leather or marking the fabric.
