A denim skirt is one of my favourite wardrobe staples and there are so many gorgeous styles available this season. Denim is perfect for mums. It is hardwearing and darker shades are quite forgiving of stains and sticky fingers. If you aren’t sure of how to wear a denim skirt then I’ve got four different style options.
I have used the same skirt in each style and it is the Dasia Denim Pencil skirt from Jeanswest ($89.99). It has a simple zip rather than a full button down front so is a bit more versatile to go with more styles of top. The pencil style means you can wear loose and flowy tops as well as more tight-fitting tops. It is also a good length for most body shapes.
A white tee with some stylish sneakers, cool sunnies and simple jewellery is a sure fire winner.
Dasia Denim Pencil skirt from, $89.99; Combination Ubercircles necklace (1 Med and 1 Sml) in silver, $375; Cha Cha navy sunglasses, $300; Frankie4 Sophie leather flats, $215.95; Peter Alexander classic comfy v-neck tee, $39.95
If you are more of a boho goddess a flowy top will be perfect against a denim pencil skirt. Team with sandals a satchel bag and a floppy hat.
Head out on a girls night with a simple black top, drop earrings and some stunning shoes. Denim also looks fabulous with anything leopard print.
On a cold day, pop on an oversized knit with some ankle boots, a stack of bangles and a gorgeous big bag.
