With humble beginnings as a volunteer abroad, Frances Carrington’s love of fashion and the Indian and Tibetan Culture combined to create Eternal Creation, now a successful fair trade fashion label selling online and in over 100 stores in Australia, USA, Europe and Asia.

Armed with her knowledge gained from her studies at the East Sydney Institue of Fashion Design and a $5000 loan from her father, in 1999 Frances started Eternal Creation with only 3 tailors. Working in association with the Gu-Chu-Sum movement of Tibet, an ex-politicial prisoners’ organisation the tailoring unit slowly expanded by employing several ex-prisoners.

Initially a women’s sleepwear and accessories label, after the birth of her 2 children Frances logically branched into the worldful world of childrens’ fashion and aren’t we glad she did! The market loved the Eternal Creation clothing collection – a classic look in fantastic colours with immaculate tailoring.

The business grew so much that in 2005 they opened the fair trade Himalaya Tailoring Centre in lower Dharamasala – now one of the largest private employers in the area. Eternal Creation has always retained it’s commitment to fair trade and the story tells you much about the label.

For the Autumn/Winter 2012 collection think reds, purples and navys for the girls with delightful polka dots, fabulous florals and pretty prints. Dresses and hats stand out in the collection as the must have pieces of the season.

For the boys, we are loving the old-school charm with the most adorable overalls and the splashes of red amongst the classic navy and grey. Shirts are key to the collection as are tailored jackets and stylish headwear.

At Eternal Creation you can shop for the whole family with ladies, mens and childrens clothing, accessories and sleepwear available. One reader will have a kickstart to building their Eternal Creation wardrobe with a $50 voucher. Visit our win page for more details. You can also find Eternal Creation on facebook.
