Olivia and I drove to Canberra on Friday to spend the weekend with my best friend. Other than having a lovely time away eating, drinking and catching up, I was also introduced to something too good not to share with you. Chocolate porridge.

I don’t know if I’m a latecomer to this amazingness but if you, like me, haven’t heard about it before, here is a quick recipe to get you started. I’ve added blueberries to my chocolate porridge. You could add any type of berry or just stick to the chocolate!

Blueberry and chocolate porridge

Serves 2

Ingredients
3/4 cup traditional oats
1 1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup fresh, frozen or dried blueberries
1 tbsp cacao powder

Method
Place the oats and milk in a small saucepan on medium heat. Bring to the boil and stir for 2 minutes. Add in the cacao powder and blueberries and stir for a further minute.

Serve into bowls. If the porridge it too thick, add a little milk to thin it.
