Bliss balls are one of the easiest healthy snack ideas for busy families. They are super easy to make, you can eat them with one hand, kids love them and they are good for you. I often whip up a batch on a Monday to keep us going for a few days and also keep a few in the freezer for the days when I don’t have time! This bliss ball recipe is super sweet so one is probably enough.

Apple and blueberry bliss ball recipe

Makes 12

1/2 cup dried blueberries
1 cup dried apple, roughly chopped
1/2 cup quinoa flakes
1 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 tbsp maple syrup

Place the blueberries and 2 tablespoons of water into a small saucepan over medium height. Stir for a couple of minutes until the blueberries have soaked up the water and softened. Set aside to cool.

Add all the remaining ingredients into the bowl of a food processor, adding the blueberries last. Process until all the ingredients are combined. If the mixture is too dry you can add some more maple syrup or a drop of water.

Once the ingredients are chopped and combined, working with a teaspoon of the mixture at a time, roll into balls. Store in the fridge for 3 days or pop them in the freezer to keep for longer.
